Andreas Hykade
Andreas Hykade is Professor and Director of the Institute for Animation, Visual Effects, and Digital Post-Production at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, Ludwigsburg/Germany. He studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg from 1992 to 1995 and was one of its first graduates in Animation/Digital Image Design. Since 1992, Andreas Hykade has worked as an independent filmmaker of animated films. His works include award-winning animated films, but also popular TV productions such as TOM & das Erdbeermarmeladebrot mit Honig (2004−2012) and interactive projects. Since 2000, Andreas Hykade has lectured at the Film Academy. He has also taught at a range of international institutions, including Harvard University, Cambridge, MA/USA; Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Ramat Gan/Israel; and the Royal College of Arts, London/United Kingdom. Since 2015, he has been Director of the Institute for Animation, Visual Effects, and Digital Post-Production at the Film Academy.
