Bodies and Mines – Open Source Hardware and the Question of Ownership

The data-driven world, like all worlds, is made of matter. Open-source hardware gives rise to questions about the relation of ideas/authorship and material/ownership. It is bringing into view the Western vehicle of dividing mind and body, idea and matter. Starting from open-source hardware, the presentation will take a look at the relations of owning and authoring and what they say about sharing, distributing, and producing today.
